Feminism throughout Iran

To what extent does Marjane Satrapi agree with Feminism?
Through the book Marjane shows her position on Feminism. The firs place which is the biggest is the veil. Woman during this time were required to wear the veil correctly. In the beginning of the book Marjane is shown wearing it different ways and disrespecting the veil and the law. By doing this she is demonstrating that woman should have a choice to wear what they want and to express themselves however they want. This however was not provided for the woman of Iran during that time.
Another example of Feminism in the book is the idea of Marjane wanting to be an educated woman and make something out of herself. During this time it was rare that woman would want to be educated and to have a career like men do. Even if they did it was rare for them to have the opportunity. Marjane was very lucky to have this opportunity and she fully knew it and was determined to take advantage of it.
The last place this is shown it when Marjane is arguing with her father and her mother says that she needs to learn to fight for rights. This is a big feminist movement considering that during this time it was rare that woman to speak out.
It is very obvious that Majane Satrapi is a big feminist that believes that woman should fight for their rights and be equal to men. She does a very good job of demonstrating this throughout the graphic novel.
